Finally, with the introduction of this Program, I am able to help our Level 1 and 2 Gayatri Reiki Course participants create the 4 level (spiritual, mental, emotional and physical) foundation upon which their Reiki practice ultimately must rest.

Mikao Usui did not use the 4 Reiki symbols as part of his practice. Rather, he utilized a process called Empowerment. This is the same process that I utilize in our Usui Reiki Master Teacher Course Empowerment initiations and in this Course, our Mental Emotional Balancing Program.

I find it absolutely amazing that Western Reiki practitioners expect that through attending a few days of classes that the realm of power that each Reiki symbol refers to has been transferred to them and is now fully available for their use WITHOUT HAVING TO DO ANY REAL UNDERLYING DEVELOPMENT WORK.

How can such "unearned" power be transferred just by ceremonially using the four symbols in simple initiation process provided through attending one or two weekend classes? Yet today there is a movement to use Reiki that has been acquired this way in hospitals and extremely educated people are overlooking the fact that if such a power is transferred in a typical Reiki class, without related and substantial foundation building work, it is being done so by pure magic! Why isn't anyone questioning this?

Its much like waving a book over someone's head and expecting them to have acquired all of the knowledge within that book without having to read it or work on the concepts it contains. This simply is a ludicrous approach to acquiring personal power and I still cannot figure out why so many "traditionally trained" Reiki practitioners criticize my attempts at transferring Reiki via the Internet. I am one of the few Reiki teachers who have an established spiritual development system and am requiring my Course participants to do the substantial work involved.

And, I will be the first to tell you that if you don't build an adequate foundation you have nothing. It doesn't matter whether we are talking about the acquisition and use of Reiki or about building a high rise office building. Anything of value and substance in life always must rest upon a firm foundation. Anyone attempting to fool others into thinking that power can be had through just ceremony is doing a great disservice.

My Level 1 Reiki initiations work better than most Western Reiki teacher's in person initiations. The majority of our Course participants feel that it is substantially more powerful. Being present in the room with a student makes little difference. What does make a difference, however, is the initiation process used and the spiritual development that has been acquired by the teacher providing the initiation. Rather than "wave a book over your head" I ask you to "read the book and do the work that it requires." As you do, you will permanently own the abilities contained therein. And this is the very purpose of our Mental Emotional Balancing Program.

Mikao Usui did not just discover a proprietary process solely of his own and one which has not been used by others before him. Rather, he stumbled across spiritual truths and powers that anyone could acquire if they knew how to uncover them and do the required work. I say this with confidence because even in Japan today, Mikao Usui's original Reiki society still exists, and his society will take up to 10 years to move a student from level 1 to level 2 in their 6 level system. This is essentially the same as accomplishing levels 1 and 2 in our 4 level Western Reiki system and taking 10 years to do so.

In the 10 year period of time that it may take to go from the Society's level 1 to their level 2, 1,000 Empowerments may have been performed for each student's benefit. Can you imagine that?

The Mental Emotional Balancing Program provides approximately 450 Empowerments. But where the difference lies is in two important facts. First, my Level 3 Program participants are performing daily meditations for 18 months utilizing 3 powerful symbols which are not contained in the Reiki system. And second, I am providing the necessary number of Empowerments to help carry them through their own spiritual development work to utilize these 3 symbols as their development tool. The combination of these two techniques accelerate the process in such a way that the desired Mental Emotional energetic healing and balancing is accomplished in a much shorter period of time - 18 months rather than 10 years.

In my Level 1 Usui Reiki Master Teacher & Gayatri Reiki Practitioner Course, I initiate my students into the possession and use of the Connection symbol (the 1st symbol of Reiki and an equivalent of another which is called the Map of 12 Manifestations). In addition, I initiate our Level 1 students into the possession and use of the Gayatri Mantra which is an ongoing prescribed daily practice. Until a student is able to make a solid connection to the Divine, the Godhead, or their conception of the Source of all life, gaining access over the higher powers is simply not possible. Even though I focus on initiating my Level 1 students utilizing the powers of all 4 planes of existence, I truly desire that they make their "Connection" and I'm not worried for the time being whether they have acquired other abilities. For if they are successful and can Connect, I can then take them further into all 4 levels so they too can begin to acquire and access the resulting powers.

Opening the gateways of the third eye or intuitive center and the heart center is the first task that I work with in our Level 1 Course. This is not an easy task and requires at least eight consecutive days of Empowerments at the proper time of the month (between the first quarter and full moon) to accomplish. Those of you who have gone through my Empowerment Session will now understand what I've been trying to do to get you prepared to move forward on the remaining Gayatri Reiki Levels.

It is no coincidence that Mikao Usui's 2nd Reiki symbol is called the mental emotional symbol. Once the Connection is made, the Mental and Emotional Coefficients need to become aligned with each other and permanently locked into place. This is exactly what master Usui's Reiki society is still trying to do with its students during the first 10 years of their practice. They might not consciously think of it this way, but that is what is going on.

It is our great fortune that Dr. Oscar Brunler discovered his Scale of Consciousness and that it syncronisticly provides us with a means to measure where a Reiki student is within the realm of the 2nd Reiki symbol, Sei Hei Ki.

To "heal" using the Reiki mental emotional symbol, a student needs to be aligned, balanced and locked as is described within our Mental Emotional Balancing Course materials. Without this alignment, a Reiki practitioner does not have and will not acquire true access to these realms of manifestation.

Healing is a manifestation process. To heal is to evoke a miracle creating something new from something old. This is the same as manifesting anything the heart desires since to acquire the power of healing first requires learning how to manifest anything - anything at all, not just healing. To become a powerful manifestor means that the participant finally has acquired conscious control over the very same process that generates real healing.

There is no better way to become a powerful Reiki practitioner than to go through the 18 month meditation process involved in our Mental Emotional Balancing Course. I know of no other alternative which will virtually assure anyone who does the work permanent results. Other self improvement systems afford temporary results and temporary heightened states of awareness. But to truly permanently own these powerful effects, your Mental and Emotional Coefficients need to be aligned, balanced and locked.

It is my desire that the Western Reiki world will eventually understand and value the importance of this Mental Emotional Coefficient alignment process that we utilize in our Mental Emotional Balancing Program. It provides the realization of the domain of the 2nd Reiki symbol and excites me to no end to think about the potential that is available to us with such a relatively short period of time invested. 18 months is not a long time when looking at changing any social system or performing long term personal development benefits. In fact, when looked at in this light, it is a fast process indeed.
