BEFORE YOU CHOOSE A PARTICULAR SPIRITUAL PATH . . . you must first ask yourself, "How do I verify that the spiritual development process it contains is valid." "How do I evaluate whether a particular path will be in my best interest and positively affect my personal spiritual development?"There are many religions in the world, but in reality, there is only one spiritual destination. Systems of belief have no more to do with determining human nature or the way the body functions than with determining the movement of the planets. A person may be a Christian, a Catholic, a Jew, a Hindu, a Moslem or may follow no religion at all. The basic realities of human nature and the body, however, remain the same. Pursuit of a spiritual path serves one purpose and one purpose only: To allow the container within which consciousness resides to uplift consciousness and gain a greater and greater perception of reality. The way this upliftment occurs is through the deepening of an individual's awareness of his or her own reality. And . . . this reality must be discovered. It cannot be invented since it is an underlying principle that has existed since the beginning of time. It is not dependent upon interpretation nor does it in any way vary. It just is and is as rock solid in definition as are the determinable laws of the universe. All the religions of the world teach the concepts of love, service and harmonious interaction between and amongst people. This is true not because the founders of those religions were trying to push a particular personal preference upon others, but rather because they had plumbed the depths of human nature adequately by first facing human nature in themselves. They didn't need to read about the theories and opinions proposed by others. Rather, their knowledge was gained through direct personal intuition and related experience. This is the spiritual development process that we all eventually must go through - direct experience. There comes a time when after intellectualizing our spiritual path and perceived spiritual goals, we find that there is no longer anywhere to turn. We eventually exhaust all known possibilities and still end up with no answers. Our exhausted minds are still are not fulfilled and yet we still long for more knowing that there is something that underlies the need to continue the search. Only when we divorce ourselves from the clutches of our rational and logical minds and turn to daily timeless spiritual development techniques used by all of the great masters do we learn to listen to an intuitive voice that resides deep within us. When we make this transition, for the first time we achieve a level of true knowledge and begin to acquire true wisdom. It is this wisdom that forms a common denominator in all great religious philosophies. In the end, they all say the same thing and point only to one destination even though there may be a number of paths to get there. Truth-teachings through the ages have inspired people to become more kind, loving, humble and truthful - not because any great master insisted that this is how the Creator of our world wanted us to be, but rather because this is what resonates within our own nature. It is a universal human fact that people who possess these qualities have what everyone wants: happiness and peace of mind. We know from first hand research as well as our own personal experience that people who lack these qualities are guaranteed to be forever restless and are never really happy. Religious dogmas, if they are valid, are so because they define timeless principles clearly and they appear in such a form that others easily relate to the timeless truths they contain. In addition, regardless of our religious beliefs, spiritual upliftment and progress is determined also by the way our bodies are made. The spine, brain and nervous system are universal evolutionary building blocks that are not available just to human beings, but to all vertebrate life. They play a vital role, however, in the ability of human beings to actually perceive reality. Lower forms of life do not have this capacity. This is what makes the human kingdom of evolution so special - our tremendous ability to perceive into the universe and see consciousness operating at various levels. Throughout the materials on this web site and in our Gayatri Reiki curriculum, I stress the importance of nurturing and the pursuit of the elevation of conciousness. There is a Divine plan that underlies all of our lives and it is seeking something through us and the world within which we live. An excellent word to describe it's quality is Purposiveness. It is my goal to help you to create an adequate spiritual development system which will allow you to move onward to higher levels of consciousness. To do so does not require buying into any religious dogma or a particular system. We will incorporate the timeless truths and common denominators that exist within them all to travel a path that leads to personal and collective inner satisfaction. Dedicated To The
